About Frontenac, Missouri

Residents of Frontenac Estates, Jaccard Lane and Clayton Terrace petitioned to become the Village of Frontenac in 1947, an area of 217 acres. A May 1948 annexation added 967 more acres, and on November 6, 1950 Frontenac voted to become a city of the fourth class.
The housing is unusually uniform: roughly 97% of occupied homes are owner-occupied and about 95% of units are single-family detached. The median home was built in 1969, with the 1950s and 1960s accounting for nearly half of all units.
