- Glencoe City Park (505 Washington Avenue): a playground, picnic amenities, a vault restroom and parking, 0.2 miles north of the Al Foster Memorial Trailhead. No running water.
- Al Foster Memorial Trail: the trailhead is at 225 Grand Avenue, near Grand and Washington. The trail follows the Meramec River east from Glencoe, three miles to Sherman Beach and another two miles into Castlewood State Park, five miles in all. It is eight feet wide and crushed stone, for pedestrians and bicyclists, with restrooms, sheltered picnic tables, trash cans and parking at the trailhead.
- Hamilton-Carr Greenway: 1.7 miles beginning at the Al Foster Trailhead and running northwest to Old State Road and Route 109, through two tunnels, reaching Rockwoods Reservation at its north end.
- Rockwoods Reservation (2751 Glencoe Road, 636-458-2236): a 1,880.8-acre Missouri Department of Conservation area with the Lime Kiln Trail, Trail Amongst the Trees, Turkey Ridge Trail and others. Its limestone deposits were developed by the Glencoe Marble Company starting in 1868.
- Rock Hollow Trail: 2.3 miles of asphalt, ten feet wide, with the main trailhead at 777 Ridge Road and a second access point off the Al Foster Trail about 0.8 miles from the main entrance. It connects to the Al Foster, Bluff View and Hamilton-Carr trails.
- Wabash Frisco & Pacific Railroad (155 Grand Avenue): an all-volunteer non-profit 12-inch gauge live steam railroad, at Glencoe since 1961 and founded in 1939. The ride is a two-mile trip of about 40 minutes along the Meramec River, Sundays only, May through October, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., closed November through April.
