- Kirkwood Park, 111 S Geyer Road: 92 acres and the city’s oldest park, established in 1941. It holds the Kirkwood Community Center, the Recreation Station Ice Arena, the Aquatic Center, the Racquet Center, pickleball and tennis courts, athletic fields, picnic pavilions, a playground and spray fountain, a community garden, the Lions’ Amphitheater and Walker Lake for fishing.
- Greentree Park, 2150 Marshall Road: 89 acres on the Meramec River, with a boat ramp, fishing, athletic fields, trails and about a mile of the Meramec River Greenway Trail. The city notes the park is subject to seasonal flooding.
- Emmenegger Nature Park, 11991 Stoneywood Drive: hiking, trails, a pavilion, BBQ pits and accessible parking.
- Kirkwood Farmers’ Market, 150 E Argonne: founded by the city in 1976 as a bicentennial project and administered by the Downtown Kirkwood Special Business District. The 2026 Summit Market opened Saturday, March 28, and the Saturday vendor market opened April 4, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Kirkwood Public Library, 140 E Jefferson Avenue, and the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center, 201 East Monroe Avenue.
- Greentree Festival, held in Kirkwood Park each September: free admission, with the Greentree Parade on the Saturday morning of the festival weekend. The city says the festival began in 1961 as a community response to tree loss from drought and Dutch elm disease. A free shuttle runs from Lots R and S at St. Louis Community College.
