About Town and Country, Missouri
Town and Country is a city in west St. Louis County covering 11.49 square miles. About 87% of occupied homes are owner-occupied and about 83% of housing units are single-family detached.
The city grew by annexation. The Village of Town and Country was formed on January 8, 1950, voters approved becoming a city on August 6, 1974, an April 1977 annexation more than doubled the city’s size and added 3,000 people, and a 1991 annexation added another 2.5 square miles, official May 15, 1992.
The housing follows that timeline. The median home was built in 1983, only about 23% was built before 1970, and the 1980s is the single biggest decade at about 29%. About 17% of homes were built in 2000 or later.

Parkway serves the majority of Town and Country, along with most of Creve Coeur, Manchester and Winchester, and it operates Mason Ridge Elementary School inside the city. - Longview Farm Park, 13525 Clayton Rd, just west of Mason Road: trails through the woods, around the lake and alongside the stables and pasture, a rentable pavilion with a grill, electric, a playground and restrooms nearby, catch-and-release fishing with a Missouri Department of Conservation license, stables and a barn housing therapy horses, gardens kept by the Mason Ridge Garden Club, and the rentable Longview Farm House.
- Drace Park, 2310 Cedar Valley Rd: covered pavilion and restrooms.
- Preservation Park, 12625 North Outer Forty Rd: covered pavilion and restrooms. One city page calls it Preservation and Cadet Park at the same address.
- Town Square, 13360 Clayton Rd: covered pavilion and restrooms, at the Clayton Road and Mason Road town center.
