It’s that time of year again, time to give thanks and give back to those in need in our community with our yearly Thanksgiving Meal Box Drive!
Our goal again is to collect non-perishable food donations to fill our meal boxes for families in need. Through the generous support of our clients, family/friends, and business partners we hope to collect enough items to fill several meal boxes which will be delivered to families the week of Thanksgiving.
In the past we have been able to create and donate 8+ full meal boxes, can we make it 10+ this year?
There are two ways you can help out, either through donating non-perishable food items or a monetary donation which will be used to purchase anything missing from the boxes. As always, the remainder of any funds received once the meal boxes are full will go towards additional food donations for our local food pantries.
Here is a list of the items we include in our meal boxes every year…
- Canned green beans, corn, carrots, sweet potatoes
- Cream of mushroom soup, and fried onions for green bean casserole
- Boxed stuffing mix, corn bread mix, instant potatoes
- Jars/cans of gravy or gravy mix packets
- Boxed mac n cheese
- Pie filling, crusts or frozen pies
- Pantry supplies like sugar, salt/pepper, vegetable oil, etc.
